Helmut Newcake is the exclusive cake and pastry shop in Paris that offers its innumerous intimidated customers the traditional fresh cakes and pastries certified as 100% gluten free. The founders of the shop are Marie (who herself is allergic to gluten) and François Tagliaferro who aim to open this shop especially for them who compel to keep themselves away from indulging in the forbidden cakes make of wheat flour. The first shop was opened in an old loft not far from the Canal St-Martin and the second one was started near Madeleine.
The cosy and quirky place will invite you with the exposed stones, art related magazines, personalized and bilingual service where you will love to enjoy fine homemade pastries, breads, cakes made of gluten free organic flours or you can also take away them. The little shop will make you delight with its nearly twenty amazingly beautiful and tasty sweets like lemon-ginger polenta, mythic Madade de Fontenay religieuse, lemon or dark chocolate-cherry tartelettes, and divine red pistachio and so on. For lunch the shop offers you an épicerie corner along with three dishes of the day (like Thai rice with fusilli with cèpes, lemon balm, pizza, cheeseburger and shrimp and so on) with the homemade bread and Clipper tea.
