Opened in the year 2000, the Lambert Collection started to store up its own selection of art. This was done in an old townhouse which is over one hundred years old. The particulars of the collection reflect the tastes of its creator Yvon Lambert who earned the ire of the French art scene because he claimed France was not the artist’s paradise that it was before the war.

He believed that the current stakeholder in art was America and so minimalism, conceptualism and land are make up the bulk of the display as it stands today.
