Since 1968, Paradiso is considered as one of the most famous concerts venues of Amsterdam as it was built out in the 18th century church situated in de Weteringschans a short distance from busy Leidseplein nightlife center. When Paradiso started its journey in the initial stage, it was just a collective of creatives and after several decades of its journey, now Paradiso in Amsterdam regularly organizes concerts from the international bands as well as DJ gigs, indie bands and local artists.
The musical venue is well split between two spaces- the 1500 capacity large hall and the 250 capacity smaller hall. For the high profile concert, the main hall in Paradiso is appropriate. The cavernous interior of this hall is well suited for holding the international acts like the White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age with full success. Actually when you will visit the place, you will be impressed with the interior of the hall including two balconies and outsized glass church windows, all previously used as church hall. So it is needless to say that its acoustics and decoration must be excellent and impressive. The smaller hall is situated upstairs, for which you need to book your ticket previously as the seat-capacity is limited.
