Profession: Photographer | Portrait, Editorial, Motion
Why do you do what you do? Because I fell in love with it.
Could you describe your style and how it developed? Has your style develop/change over the time being active? If yes, how? On one side I love simple portraits with plain background where all of the attention is on the persons face. On the other side I like to create imagery with a lot of different subjects and angles and details combined in one series
Where do you get inspiration from? From every day moments, humans I meet or pass.
What is the best part about working within the creative industries? Connections which happen everywhere and most of the time unexpected. Being here today and suddenly get a call and being on an other place tomorrow. You never know what will happen the next day or week.
What do you wish you knew about your business before you got started? Nothing more that i knew then. Because it was wonderful to develop myself and finding my own way to get where i am now. To stumble is a part of that, and it still happens 😉
Who would you like to work with? Well, there are so many! Don`t know where to start.
What is your idea of success? If you work and you don`t realize that you`re working and your able to make a living out of it.
Is there a message that you are trying to portray through your work? Beside the commissioned work I do a lot of personal projects. Some of them are used to deliver messages to the viewers, like the projects I did in South Africa for Rape Crisis or the one with the boxing kids in the Township. I try to use the privilege of travelling the world for personal work. My aim is to be able to do more projects like that and support people in hard situations with my work.
Do you believe it is important to raise artistic awareness in your country? Absolutely!
In your opinion, how important is it to culturally educate through art? Very important. Without art we`re just animals.
