Westminster has an outstanding reputation for developing highly talented and original fashion graduates and our alumni include Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer of Burberry; Katie Hillier, Creative Director for Hillier Bartley; Michael Herz, Artistic Director of DVF; Jutta Kraus, Creative Director of Bernhard Willhelm; and Stuart Vevers, Creative Director of Coach. In recent years Westminster have also produced a new wave of designers who show at London Fashion Week including Claire Barrow, Ashley Williams, Liam Hodges, Roberta Einer, and Mary Benson.


We work closely with the fashion industry and our students undertake internships with the world’s leading fashion companies, including Alexander McQueen, Celine, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Balmain, Adidas, Jeremy Scott, Lanvin, Givenchy and Balenciaga.

Our fashion graduates from 2015 are now in design positions with companies including MaxMara, Sportsmax, Marina Rinaldi, Pull & Bear, Harrods, McQueen, Burberry, and Adidas.  Whilst graduates from the last three years are now at Louis Vuitton, Burberry Prorsum, J.W. Anderson, Dunhill, Jacquemus, Paul Smith, Thom Browne, Puma, Preen, Mulberry, Bottega Veneta, Roksanda Ilincic, Gap, and Marc Jacobs.


Our BA Fashion Buying Management course was designed specifically to meet the needs of the fashion retail industry, while the BA Fashion Merchandise Management course was developed in collaboration with industry. We foster new thinking, new ideas and new possibilities. Our students are taught by active practitioners in a research-intensive environment, and study alongside students in film, photography, music, art and journalism – a unique hothouse of creative opportunity.


At postgraduate our MA Fashion Business Management course is designed to equip students with the strategic decision-making, leadership and problem-solving skills to become an entrepreneurial and visionary fashion business leader of the future.  The course offers inside knowledge of industry strategies and cultures on a global basis, combined with key business skills and essential fashion industry management knowledge.
