In keeping with the tradition of the apartment galleries, Projektraum Viktor Bucher is housed in the 2nd district which is not far from Schwedenplatz. The former live-in exhibition space has undergone through some innovative designs and now it is the platform for presenting young, talented and international artists who are promising enough in both techniques and content. The gallery aims to exhibit not only classical arts but also concentrates with more advanced outlook on the Applied section and color like design (prototypes) and the architecture.
By visiting this gallery in Praterstrasse, Vienna, you can feel the ironic as well as pleasurable moment of artistic approach through their works. On the whole, the gallery seems to be an inspiring place for confrontation with the modern up-to-date art. The aim of Viktor Bucher is to provide the space for the young and international exhibitors where they can explore irony and fun through art. The gallery has been inaugurated with Sophie Hirsch’s work, named heut schau ich mir schöne Bilder an damit ich besser schlafen kann(Today I’ll look at pretty pictures so I can sleep better) which is the structural texture puzzle.
