This restaurant offers food of the highest quality – everything is prepared from scratch. Organic ingredients sourced from trusted providers ensure food is flavorful and wholesome. A passionate Chef Christian Domschitz who is a connoisseur of good taste will make your dining experience worthwhile. The setting of the restaurant is the southern hall of the Burgtheater. Architecture of the hall: exquisitely designed marble columns and stucco topped off with a sparkling mirrored bar lend an aristocratic touch to the setting. Traditional food is prepared with a modern twist. Black truffle with beef marrow and saffron poached catfish with root vegetables and meadow herbs, fish and chips with locally sourced pink perch and potatoes doused in vinegar; artisanal food is served here depending on the availability. It is continentally styled Viennese food. The piece de resistance of the menu is Szegediner lobster with creamy cabbage that is not to be missed. Aperitif, digestif and coffee are served for guests who have gathered for a theater show. Tables are laid outside in the garden during spring and summer time.
